1985 NLCS Game 5 (St. Louis 3, Los Angeles 2)

The Cardinals, under manager Whitey Herzog, and the Dodgers, led by Tommy Lasorda, were even at two wins apiece. St. Louis took the early lead at Busch Stadium on a two-run double by Tommy Herr. From then on Dodgers ace Fernando Valenzuela shut down the Cardinals while the visitors evened the score on Bill Madlock's two-run homer. Then in the bottom of the ninth, Ozzie Smith stroked the game-winning home run. It was the first left-handed home run of his career. Complete game TV broadcast. The Pirates carried a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning at Fulton County Stadium. The Braves scored one run but were down to their last out with the bases loaded. Bobby Cox summoned rarely-used pinch hitter Francisco Cabrera from the bench. Cabrera singled to left, scoring David Justice and Sid Bream, to give the Braves the pennant. Complete game TV broadcast. 2003 ALCS Game 7 (New York 6, Boston 5)

The site was Yankee Stadium and the Yankees and Red Sox squared off to determine who would advance to the 2003 World Series. The two starting pitchers, Roger Clemens and Pedro Martinez, had nine Cy Young Awards between them. Boston struck early and took a four-run lead, but New York chipped away and the game went into extra innings. In the bottom of the 11th, Aaron Boone belted a leadoff home run to win the game for the Yankees. Complete game TV broadcast.
